The pattern has options for side tabs or a sweet button tab in the front- all great places to have fun with fabrics and buttons! But, I decided to do something a tad different with this one and embroider the front waist band with sweet flowers.
The back closes by means of a hook and eye with a faux button on the outside- another great place to accent and have fun! But again I went super simple using an ivory sateen fabric and an ivory cutwork button on the back. The pattern also includes alternative instructions for closing with a functional button and snaps. The pattern gives very detailed instructions for the placket in the back- which was the most difficult part of the pattern to me- but totally doable with Amy's instructions.
The skirt boasts a nice three inch hem to give it a little added weight and structure. I did the gathered version of the skirt but the pattern also includes instructions for a beautiful pleated version.
The pattern ranges from size 18 months up to girls 14. The pattern includes a size chart and a fitting guide to help you choose the perfect fit. There is also a materials needed chart to aid in gathering up your supplies.
There are soooo many different things you can do with this pattern- so go grab yourself a copy in the Brownie Goose shop and then come share all of your beautiful creations over in the Brownie Goose Lovers group on Facebook! We all love a little inspiration! <3 <3 <3
