This pattern is absolutely gorgeous inside and out- the instructions are spot on and give detailed directions for adding french seams on the sleeves and adding a placket to the skirt so that the bodice/waist seam can be fully enclosed. There are also directions for skipping those steps if you prefer not too as well.
With a super full skirt and ruffle your little princess will have a ball in this dress. I chose to use an ivory sateen along with a mint kona and a touch of lace down the front.
I will be the first to admit- the sleeves and I had words at first- hemming that circle of sateen got the best of me at first, but then we decided the fabric was flowy (that's a word right?) enough to line them and we are back in good graces again ; )
Let's talk pattern details:
- Sizes 1/2 to 14
- lined sleeve or hemmed sleeve
- double sleeve option
- single or double skirt options
- top or dress length options
- button back with sash
- placket instructions
Finished measurements are given along with child's measurements to aid you in choosing the perfect fit for your child. The pattern has "no trim" pages so you can print and start sewing in less time. It now also has LAYERS so that you can print just the sizes you want/need!
Can we just take a moment to say how gorgeous this dress is from the back too? Love that sash- the perfect little pop of color on this dress!
You will want to pick this pattern up and be all about that Grace when it releases this Tuesday over on the Made for Mermaids page. <3 <3 <3
